Meet Nicky and Bob

The Team

Hi, we're Bob and Nicky — happily semi-retired, and we love travelling around the UK and Europe in 'Rezzy' our motorhome. We enjoy walking, kayaking, meeting local people and sharing the technical knowledge we pick up along the way.

Meet Bob and Nicky

We're Bob and Nicky Michelmore — semi-retired and living in West Wales. Our passion is to travel far and wide in our motorhome (Rezzy) as often as we possibly can.

Some fun facts about us:

We both rode Harley Davidson motorbikes — the result of Nicky's "mid-life crisis" and a wish to learn, though Bob's been riding bikes his whole life!

When she was younger, Nicky competed in the Devizes to Westminster canoe race — 125 miles along canals and the River Thames. She still loves kayaking, and our kayak comes with us on our motorhome trips.

Bob has played a lot of sport over the years, and his favourite pastime now is golf — he has a very healthy handicap!

Nicky's favourite pastime is playing Spanish music on her classical guitar. Next time we're in Spain in the motorhome, she'll be bringing it along.

We've travelled 42,500+ miles in Rezzy and had 426 nights away since our first trip in September 2021, across the UK and Europe. We share what we learn with our YouTube community of 7,400+ subscribers.

How It All Started

Our first trip away in Rezzy, in September 2021, was three nights in the Brecon Beacons. It didn't take long before we were hooked, and the trips got longer, further and more frequent from there.

We decided to film our adventures and work we had done on the van to create videos that others would find useful. We were encouraged and inspired to build on our YouTube channel when we received comments from our followers who said they found our films informative and helpful.

What started as filming our own trips for the YouTube channel gradually turned into something more: articles, guides, a free digital leveller, and eventually a membership scheme for discounts, motorhome checklists, a Vehicle Manager, a European Travel Hub, a Travel Tracker and a Running Cost Dashboard. Life on the Road with Rezzy, Peggy and Our Kayak

Our motorbike (Peggy) and kayak travel with us on most trips, so we can explore further once we've parked up — it may be a back road Rezzy can't fit down, or a stretch of coast or lake that's only really seen from the water. It's changed how we plan routes, generally toward places that reward a bit of extra exploring once we've arrived.

We mix touring styles depending on the trip — club sites, aires, and off-grid nights when the location and weather suit it. If you're curious how that mix plays out in real numbers, our real motorhome running costs breaks down exactly what we've spent on campsites, fuel and everything else since 2021.

Bob's Side: Modifications and Maintenance

Bob handles the technical side of Rezzy — the modifications, the maintenance, and the DIY fixes that come with owning any motorhome long enough. A lot of the practical, hands-on content on this site (and quite a few of the YouTube videos) comes directly from problems Bob has solved on our own vehicle.

Nicky's Side: Building the App and Membership Tools

Nicky built the Motorhome Manager app and the Membership area — the checklists, the mileage and expense trackers, and the Van-Leveller tool. It started from wanting a better way to keep track of our own trips and maintenance, and grew into something other owners now use for their own journeys.

If you haven't seen it yet, you can find the full feature set on the Motorhome App page, or explore the fuller toolset in the Membership Area.

@simonbridgewater9211 - Great video, helping a fellow novice to try and fit one. What did you connect to the blue/white system remote wire in the pioneer wiring? Not managed to figure that out yet. Reply: @motorhoming adventures - Hi Simon and many thanks for that. The blue and white was for an additional amp or a powered aerial which I didn’t have so didn’t do anything with that 🤞 Good luck - you’ll crack it. Read the comment on YouTube
